Actress Blake Lively is getting a head start on her New Year’s resolution. Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their second daughter to the world in September. The 29-year-old Lively is now looking to get back her pre-pregnancy body back with a new weight loss program that includes healthy food and a gym workout.

Reynolds and Lively’s first daughter, James, was born in 2014. The couple’s second daughter’s name is yet to be revealed. Lively met Reynolds while filming the superhero movie Green Lantern in early 2010, and they began dating in 2011 and got married in 2012.

Lively is also featured in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), Accepted (2006), The Town (2010), Savages (2012), Café Society (2016), The Shallows (2016), and the TV series Gossip Girl (2007-2012).

How does Blake Lively keep her New Year’s Resolution? The following is Blake Lively’s post-pregnancy diet and exercise plan.

Blake Lively’s Post-Pregnancy Diet Plan

On Monday, Dec. 5, Blake Lively posted an early New Year’s resolution photo on Instagram of her healthy food options and meals from a food delivery service. Basically, Lively wants to fit into her jeans again.

New Years resolution started early– I WILL fit into my jeans again gall darnet. Thanks @getepicured for making it tasty. This is not an ad. This is me getting it up for healthy food. 🌿💪🏼😬🌿

Blake Lively signed up for the delivery service Epicured to help her lose weight. Lively would stock up on healthy food like rice, veggies, salad, and chicken. Other items on the Epicured menu would include tacos, truffled mac and cheese, sesame crusted wild salmon, pad thai, lemon rosemary chicken, a pulled barbecue chicken sandwich, and ginger pork.

Epicured customers can select seven-day or five-day meal plan options from the company, and costs will vary between $75 to $182 per week. The company offers gluten-free meals and has help from dietitians. Epictured serves New York area, including Nassau County, Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

Blake Lively’s trainer Don Saladino has also given her diet tips. Saladino will not restrict Lively’s calorie intake. The trainer says you can’t burn metabolism efficiently if you are starving yourself. Lively’s eating plan includes organic, high-quality, and nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, proteins, and slow-burning starches like sweet potato. She also eats healthy fats like grass-fed butter, coconut oil, and avocado.

An example of a Don Saladino-approved and protein-rich meal includes steamed broccoli, thyme roasted butternut squash, marinated skirt steak, and a garden salad. There is also a glass of water for after the meal.

When she isn’t eating with a delivery service, Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds enjoy shopping at farmers’ markets and maintain control over their nutrition by preparing meals themselves. For example, a meal at the Reynolds-Lively household may include a rotisserie chicken and vegetables dressed with shallots, figs, and balsamic vinegar.

How does Blake Lively usually begin her day? She will wake up and drink a glass of water, while breakfast may include two eggs cooked in coconut oil and some vegetables. If she’s really hungry, she may eat gluten-free oats with some fruit. Lively also does not overeat because she will consume plenty of small meals throughout her day.

Blake Lively also knows that she isn’t perfect. She doesn’t drink, but from time to time she will enjoy pizza and pasta. Sometimes she will also splurge on desserts with high quality ingredients instead of those with chemicals and other unhealthy ingredients.

Blake Lively’s Workout Routine

Besides eating healthy Blake Lively is also getting into shape with trainer Saladino. Before her second baby, Lively first worked with Saladino to get into shape for The Shallows. She was working out for 13 hours per day because shooting for the film could even be classified as working out. Saladino would even post an Instagram photo of Lively working out.

Now you see why @blakelively was hidding. 😂😂😂

Lively maintains a persistent and balanced workout program. She will exercise five to six times weekly with workout sessions being 30 to 75 minutes each time. Her routine will often begin with foam-rolling, and five to seven minutes of mobility work. She will also work on arms, lower body, and upper body exercises. Even if Lively is traveling or working, she will exercise by hopping on the elliptical for at least 10 minutes.

Blake Lively’s hard work is definitely paying off. The actress looked stunning in a black dress at L’Oreal Paris’s Women of Worth Celebration in New York City last month. It was Lively’s first red carpet appearance since giving birth to her second daughter in September. Check out Lively in a black dress below:
