Cameron Diaz’s 80/20 Diet Rule Apparently Includes Sushi

Cameron Diaz was recently spotted grabbing a sushi dinner with her husband, rocker Benji Madden, and friends.

Diaz is known for her stunning looks and figure, but that doesn’t stop the Hollywood actress from eating out every once in a while. Believe it or not, Diaz’s diet actually includes sushi.

Cameron Diaz’s 80/20 Rule

That is because Cameron Diaz follows an “80/20” diet to maintain her figure. What this means is that 80 percent of the meals that Diaz eats are made out of nutritious, healthy foods that she cooks at home.

However, for the other 20 percent of meals, Diaz eats whatever types of food she wants, including comfort foods, guilty pleasures, and “junk food.” For Diaz, this includes eating foods like hamburgers, burritos, and sushi. She is also a big fan of cheese.

While this type of diet may sound crazy to some people, Diaz’s figure is proof that it can be used to achieve great results. In fact, there’s a reason why the 80/20 diet may be more effective than many other popular, fad diets.

Fad diets, which are often very restrictive and involve starving yourself, can actually end up causing weight gain in a lot of cases. Since the diets are very hard to follow, most people end up crashing and binging on food. As well, these diets can slow your metabolism, leading to increased weight gain.

On the other hand, the 80/20 diet is very easy to follow. By allowing a small amount of tasty foods and treats, it can be much easier to eat more nutritious foods on a consistent basis.

To ensure that 80 percent of her meals are nutritious, Diaz sets aside her entire day to work on cooking meals that will last for the week. This ensures that she always has a healthy meal ready to go when she’s hungry.
