National Coffee Day 2016 is Thursday, Sept. 29, and if you’re wondering where to get free coffee, especially in NYC, read on as we highlight coupons and special offers available at some of your favorite places, including Starbucks.
Where to Get Free Coffee on National Coffee Day
Yes, you may love coffee, but sometimes you just don’t want to pay for it – we totally get it. Here is a list of places that are offering free coffee, or at least super cheap coffee.
Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf: If you download their mobile app, their helpful barista will hand over a free espresso. Some locations will offer surprise giveaways; so if you’re feeling lucky, head over to one of their locations.
Peet’s Coffee: If you purchase a select food item, you can get a free medium coffee.
Dunkin’ Donuts: Celebrate National Coffee Day and their 66th year in business by getting a medium coffee for only 66 cents!
La Mar’s Donuts and Coffee: By purchasing their travel mug for a dollar, you can get it filled free with coffee until Sept. 29.
Birch Coffee: Enjoy free coffee from 7 to 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Stewart’s Shop: All locations in upstate New York will offer free hot or cold coffee from noon to close.
Pilot Flying J: Go to their website and print the coupon for a free small coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
Krispy Kreme: Not only will you get a free 12-oz coffee, but they’ll even pair it with a glazed donut, too!
Cumberland Farms: Text “FREECOFFEE” to 64827 to receive a coupon for a free coffee or hot chocolate.
Starbucks: Although Starbucks won’t give you a free coffee, they will donate a coffee tree to a farmer for every cup of Mexican Chiapas coffee that is brewed.
Tarallucci e Vino: Stop by any of the city’s five locations for a free Lavazza coffee between 9 and 10 a.m.
TOMS New York: The Manhattan café/shoe store will offer complimentary coffee tastings Thursday.
The VNYL: Follow their Instagram page and show up to their coffee house to receive a free coffee.
As you can see, if you’re a coffee lover, there are some serious deals to be found. Even if any of the above places aren’t near you, many local coffee shops are getting into the festivities by offering their own promotions to celebrate National Coffee Day. All you have to do is pay these places a visit.
