Emma Roberts of Scream Queens and boyfriend Evan Peters were out shopping in Los Angeles this week, showing a united front since getting back together after breaking up this spring. Peters was carrying a number of black boxes tied with black ribbons.
The Scream Queens actress has been working out hard in the gym, doing a lot of cardio and weight lifting these past few months, and she posted a video clip to Instagram a few days ago showing her workout of rigorous side planks with lifts.
Working the obliques helps shape the mid-section quite a bit and should be done in conjunction with regular sit-ups for the best set of abs in town.
Side planks are one exercise that tightens that particular area.
Planks strengthen the abdominal muscles and strengthen the lower back and upper body muscles. The side plank that Roberts is doing in her Instagram video helps tone the obliques.
Emma Robert’s Workout Routine
Another great exercise for building core strength is Pilates. Roberts loves to do Pilates and says it is the one thing she has tried that has stuck, because she enjoys it so much.
When not working, she tries to fit the exercise into her busy schedule three to four times a week. Pilates is a great exercise for the core muscles, and when done regularly, can result in weight loss and a long, lean body that is toned.
Equipment is used, especially the machine called the Reformer, but exercises are also done using a mat and props, or a ballet barre. Julia Robert’s niece says she isn’t very athletic, so she doesn’t have a hardcore workout routine, but she seems to be getting some serious gym game lately.
Other than Pilates, Roberts enjoys riding her bike or walking. Walking is a good activity because it is easy on the joints, gets muscles moving, and does burn calories, but just not as many as jogging or running. When the young star does go to the gym, she likes to have a trainer with her to make it more fun.
As for her diet, Roberts loves to eat healthy and clean, which means eating organic food for her. She claims organic food is the biggest reason for her slender and toned frame. Eating lots of fresh produce, especially leafy greens, and lean proteins, with a limit on sugar and simple carbs, can help keep the body lean and healthy.
Roberts drinks a lot of fresh water throughout the day to flush toxins from her system. Drinking water is a very important part of a healthy diet and body. Many people are dehydrated much of the time without knowing it. As healthy as she is, though, she does have cravings for pizza and sweets, but indulges in these items on weekends only.
The actress has been working on quite a few projects lately. Her Nerve movie released this past summer, and the actress has hinted that she will be returning to American Horror Story for another season as well.
