Gigi Hadid Instagram Sensation of 2016: What is Zayn’s Partner’s Fitness Secret for 2017?

Known for her svelte figure, striking looks and a pleasing personality, Gigi Hadid is one of America’s top models. The 21-year-old has left no stone unturned to show the world that she is not your average model.

Be it award functions, events or modeling shoots, Gigi Hadid has seen a lot of stardom already at her young age and by the looks of it, she is ready to take on even more.

Recently, she added another spectacular honor to her name- she topped Instagram’s list of most followers achieved in a single year. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star gained the largest number of followers for the year 2016.

The list comprised of names of popular models and designers who rose to fame and gained popularity on the social media platform.

As compared to last year, Gigi’s followers almost doubled this year, reaching a staggering number of 16,033,757. All in all, a whopping 26 million people receive the star’s updates on a daily basis.

Cara Delevingne, too got over 14 million new followers, adding to her total of 35.6 million. The others who topped the list after Gigi and Cara were Hailey Baldwin (8.4 million followers), Bella Hadid (8 million followers), Emily Ratajkowski (9.5 million followers) and Victoria Beckham (13 million followers). Chrissy Teigen, Gisele Bundchen, Taylor Hill and Candice Swanepoel followed thereafter.

Gigi Hadid’s Fitness Secrets:

“My biggest thing is just eat healthy and work out. I was a volleyball player for 12 years, I rode horses my whole life, and now I box every day,” claims Gigi who featured in the Top 50 Models ranking at Models.com.

Though Gigi Hadid loves doing sit-up’s and crunches for a flatter tummy, she believes that it is really hard cardio that has helped her get a six-pack.

A believer of eating a clean diet, Gigi admits she is strict about what she puts on her plate and always eats in moderation. The model believes that eating healthy does not necessarily mean resorting to hard and fast diets, but can be as simple as substituting beverages high in sugar for a tall glass of water or limiting fast food intake to once a week.

“I can eat healthy when I want to and I can work out every single day and I can have the body for a certain runway show if I need to, but that doesn’t mean that I’m doing it in an unhealthy way,” says Hadid.

A lover of boxing, Gigi often uploads pictures of her practicing her moves and during training. She further claims her love for the forgotten workout, “When you’re boxing, you get so into it mentally that you kind of forget what’s going on, you forget that you’re working out. You always want more.”

However, along with boxing she also works out a combination of other exercises. To prepare for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Gigi took help of Ballet Beautiful classes, comprising of targeted mat work, barre exercises and ballet cardio.

Gigi’s trainer Rob Piela suggests sticking to a schedule. “Staying fit is all about consistency. Don’t miss workout days; don’t get lazy in the winter,” he advises.
