Gwyneth Paltrow is no stranger to the garden. She often posts her haul of vegetables on Instagram, including freshly picked beets and scallions. Paltrow likely adds the scallions and beets to her salads—after all, vegetables are reportedly a big part of her diet plan and healthy lifestyle.

Paltrow is a major player when it comes to healthy lifestyle and diet plan books among celebrities. Paltrow has authored the cookbooks, “It’s All Easy,” “It’s All Good,” and “My Father’s Daughter.” The 43-year-old Paltrow is also a food writer with the website and newsletter “Goop.”

What else is featured in the Gwyneth Paltrow diet plan? Her breakfast is often a green tea and protein shake with almond milk and blueberries. Paltrow also enjoys lemony-grilled chicken with her steamed vegetables or salads. Snacks for the A-list actress include coconut water, kale juice, raw almonds, and raisins. Her dinner may include a dish like turkey kale soup.

Every January Paltrow debuts a new detox diet plan on Goop for people looking to lose weight after the holidays. Paltrow’s 2016 detox plan eliminates dairy, red meat, gluten, soy, caffeine, added sugar, and alcohol. That being said, Paltrow doesn’t deprive herself from food.

Although the Gwyneth Paltrow diet plan stays away from processed foods and foods with chemicals and pesticides, she often enjoys french fries, cheese, martinis, and cakes in moderation. The actress believes that staying away from foods that you love will create a psychological impact that leads to anxiety and depression.

“I think there’s a lot of misinformation about what I actually eat,” explained Paltrow. “I really don’t have any rules. I really believe in delicious food and enjoying life and not saying no to anything. But at the same time, you know, I think it’s important to understand what good nutrition does and make sure you maintain a balance.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s macrobiotic diet was once strict; however, her two children Apple, 11, and Moses, 9, don’t follow a strict diet away from treats. Paltrow credits her healthy body to a workout plan concocted by celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson. Paltrow’s diet plan is simple, and yet contains all of her favorites like beets, scallions, and salads.
