Supermodel Heidi Klum has always had a super slim body and showed it off at the amfAR Inspiration Gala last week. The Project Runway host is a mom to four children and has a very busy work schedule that includes her collection of workout gear and shoes in partnership with New Balance.
Between work and being a hands-on mom, this model has her hands full, but she always finds the time for exercise. Actually, her beauty routine is simple, and she puts most of her emphasis time-wise into workouts—but then, even that doesn’t come close to food. For Klum, diet and proper nutrition are the number one core elements to looking and feeling good.
She told Vogue magazine in 2015, “[F]or me, it’s more about food than exercising. I’m not huge on carbs, even though that’s probably one of my favorite foods – French fries, pasta, all that stuff.” Klum looks great and has for her entire career; so let’s see what other beauty secrets she has.
Heidi on Diet…
Klum likes to keep her diet as simple and clean as possible. She enjoys fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins as main parts of her diet. A few years ago, she decided to start drinking a fruit and veggie smoothie every morning, and she has kept it up. She isn’t a fan of deprivation diets; so if she wants a cheeseburger, then she’s going to have one and enjoy it.
“I’m pretty good about not eating too many carbs,” she told the Examiner in an interview. “I love vegetables.” And the one thing she won’t eat? Bagels. Not a chance of that happening. “A bagel is basically a cardboard box,” she said in Us Weekly. Her morning breakfast usually consists of that smoothie she loves so much.

Heidi Klum doesn’t have a beauty routine. Really. She doesn’t see getting older as getting better or worse but just different. The America’s Got Talent judge doesn’t have any anxiety about aging, and she is definitely not running out to get Botox—right now. She thinks it’s perfectly okay to get wrinkles.
Overall, Klum isn’t a fan of high-maintenance beauty. The only thing she really has to worry about is getting her roots done every six weeks because she is not a natural blonde.
Heidi on Fitness…
When it comes to the working out, even Klum admits to having days where she just isn’t feeling it. But good music and cute workout clothes help get her motivated. When she does exercise, which is pretty much every day, she likes to do circuit-training workouts, strength training, lunges, step-ups and rows, and belly-targeting exercises to keep her abs firm.
Running along the Hudson River in New York City is a favorite activity of hers because it is a beautiful path, she says, and she feels surrounded by community. Swimming and going to the park with her kids are two activities she enjoys immensely. If she has the luxury of time, Klum works out with her personal trainer.
