Hilary Duff enjoyed some downtime as she indulged in a peppermint mocha latte from Dunkin’ Donuts. It seems as though Duff is in a festive mood, by the looks of her recent Instagram post. The photograph was captioned, “Thank goodness for @dunkindonuts peppermint mocha lattes, otherwise I would never be able to finish my gift wrapping with these dogs jumping all over me!!!”

Hilary Duff’s Diet Tips for Holidays

Everything in moderation could be the key to staying in shape this holiday season. You may indulge during the festivities, however, make sure you exercise portion control. Here are a few tips on diet during the holidays.

Try prepping meals in advance. Duff said, “I try to make stuff over the weekend, like a big thing of quinoa to throw in some salad.” This helps to include healthy ingredients in your diet.

Another great tip for the holiday season is to focus on cutting carbs and include proteins, veggies, and fruits. Duff usually has oatmeal with a scoop of almond butter for breakfast. She also has a shake made with fruits, vegetables, and egg white protein.

Duff gave another tip and said, “Definitely cutting alcohol is a good, quick fix.” She continued, “If I have a night out, it’s going to dinner with friends and having a few drinks and going home and watching a show.” With respect to cutting down on vices and staying in shape, she said, “It takes a lot of focus and dedication — knowing that it’s possible to get back into shape.” She added, “Really cutting out things that are your vices for a little while.”

Hilary Duff’s Workout Routine and Diet

The stunning actress, who is incredibly fit, likes to follow her workout and diet regimens. When it comes to working out, she includes exercising with a sledgehammer and Piloxing, which is a cardio workout that builds strength and includes a mix of standing Pilates, boxing, and dance.

She also likes to do a mini body-weight workout, where she performs jumping jacks, push-ups, triceps, dips, and squats. She also told Shape magazine, “I also finally learned that rolling out my legs is so important. I keep a foam roller under my bed and it’s changed my life.”

She believes in working out hard and includes glutes workouts, exercising with heavy weights, weighted deadlifts, and hip thrusts into her routine. Her trainer, Harley Pasternak, helps her with full-body conditioning and workouts to maintain a well-toned body.

Hilary Duff likes to follow a healthy diet plan. She likes to drink cow’s milk, which is a good source of vitamin B2, vitamin B12, and vitamin D. She also has shakes made with spinach, celery, cilantro, romaine lettuce, pear, apple, and banana. She drinks dandelion root tea which is a natural diuretic and her midday snacks are light and healthy. Her go-to meal consists of a salad topped with a lean source of protein, like a turkey burger or grilled fish.
