American model, Karlie Kloss, was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2013 to 2015. Kloss and best friend, Taylor Swift, even had quite the moment at last year’s event. However, Kloss did not attend the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2016 which took place at the Grand Palais in Paris, France November 30. That being said, Kloss still has a pretty incredible fitness routine that keeps her in runway shape, despite not being in Paris.
The 24-year-old Kloss was unable to attend this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show due to a work obligation, according to an Instagram post before the event. Although Kloss was sad she couldn’t attend the event, she wished all of her supermodel friends good luck. Supermodels that did attend the big fashion show included Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner.
Thinking of the Angels and my entire @victoriassecret family as they make their way to Paris today. Unfortunately this year I have a work obligation that is keeping me from Paris. I'm sad to miss it but am wishing everyone all the best from afar! There is truly no show quite like the VS Fashion Show, and there is no feeling quite like walking on that magnificent runway. To all my girls walking, good luck and enjoy every minute of it!!! I can't wait to see you all shine bright over in Paris ❤️ all my love xx kkAdvertisement
Karlie Kloss was unable to attend the prestigious fashion show, but the supermodel still has an epic gym workout and fitness routine. Kloss will often share photos on Instagram of her workout routine, including sitting in a meditation yoga pose or hanging around in the gym. Her fitness routine also includes a very intense boxing regimen.
Like most supermodels, she must look her best, and she does so through a healthy diet and a regular exercise routine. Let’s take a look at what she does to stay healthy on a regular basis.
Karlie Kloss’ Fitness and Exercise Plan
Kloss says she exercises around four to five times weekly, but she doesn’t do the same thing every day. Some days she will work with trainer, Justin Gelband, while other days she will take a ballet class at Ballet Beautiful, a spinning class at SoulCycle, or a strength-training Pilates class at SLT. Ballet, in particular, has a special place in her heart as the supermodel has been practicing it since she was a kid. Ballet helps her with balance and strength.
Kloss has a personal trainer to help her workout in her very busy schedule. She has also worked with trainer, Traci Copeland, who had the model execute various strength training and cardio exercises. She also enjoys outdoor exercises like running, hiking, biking, and swimming. In the winter, she will often hit the gym with no other options available to her.
Meditation also helps calm her mind, reduce stress, and put her into an overall positive mood. She usually meditates for 10 to 15 minutes each day.
Karlie Kloss’s Healthy Diet and Lifestyle
What about Karlie Kloss’ diet? She does eat relatively healthy, but doesn’t follow a particular diet plan. For instance, she loves eating fresh vegetables and fruit, and clean protein sources like salmon or cod. She will enjoy her meals with different spices or sauces for flavor.
Her favorite breakfast includes homemade raw almond butter, raw honey, and bananas on toasted grain bread. Breakfast may also include cereals, crepes, egg whites, pancakes or yogurt. She also eats smashed avocado toast at a New York restaurant called The Butcher’s Daughter. The perfect lunch for her includes a smoothie and a salad. Her average smoothie will include a cup of unsweetened almond milk, a banana, a cup of blackberries, and a spoonful of chocolate powder.
Lunch is light for Kloss because she is always snacking throughout the day. She will also attend a New York macrobiotic restaurant called Souen or Bob’s Kitchen in Paris. Some of her favorite snacks include apples, banana, or yogurt, and dark chocolate is her greatest guilty pleasure. She is also obsessed with kale chips.
Why are Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss such best friends? Kloss appeared as a “Knockout” in Swift’s music video for her single, “Bad Blood” in May of 2015. Swift and Kloss also appeared on the cover of the March 2015 issue of Vogue magazine, which also included an article and photo spread. In 2009, Vogue Paris would also declare Kloss as one of the top 30 models of the 2000s. She has been a model since 2007.
