Kate Beckinsale’s Underworld 5 Workout Involves Yoga, HIIT

Actress Kate Beckinsale looks absolutely gorgeous as vampire warrior Selene in the preview for Underworld 5 (officially known as Underworld: Blood Wars).

The age-defying beauty doesn’t look 43, and she has barely aged at all over the past 10 years. Check out Beckinsale in the Blood Wars trailer. The supernatural thriller is set to hit theaters in January 2017.

The British beauty last portrayed Selene in 2012 for the fourth installment: Underworld: Awakening. Beckinsale also starred in 2009’s Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, 2006’s Underworld: Evolution, and 2003’s Underworld.

Beckinsale looks as good as she did in the original film. She credits yoga workouts, a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program and a portion-controlled diet for her youthful appearance.

Beckinsale says her age-defying beauty is partly attributed to doing yoga every day. Not only does it help with flexibility and balance, but it also helps with stress reduction and mental health.

Yoga will also suppress appetite, promote natural weight loss, and sculpt lean muscles. Beckinsale works with Jennifer Aniston’s trainer Mandy Ingber to help with her yoga routine.

Kate Beckinsale also really loves the results from a fat-blasting high-intensity interval-training program. HIIT workouts will boost metabolism, accelerate weight loss, and burn belly fat better than cardio exercises.

Kate Beckinsale also uses a “3-2-1” workout plan to get ready for many of her Underworld movie roles. The “workout is designed by celebrity trainer Ramona Braganza, who has worked with many other actors, including Jessica Alba, Zac Efron, and Halle Berry.

The “3” stands for three cardio sessions per workout, the “2” stands for two weight-training circuits, and there is also “1” abs routine.

The following is a sample of Beckinsale’s workout plan:

Monday: Monday’s workout includes jogging, running, dumbbell bench presses, dumbbell flies, bar dips, and HIIT training with sprinting and jogging. There is also an abs workout of v-ups, twisting planks, and bicycle crunches.

Tuesday: Tuesday’s workout consists of jogging, step-ups, forward lunges with dumbbell bicep curls, squats, walking lunges with dumbbell bicep curls, abs crunches, bosu ball knee tucks, and forearm planks.

Wednesday: Wednesday’s workout involves stair climbing, dumbbell rows, bent-over dumbbell flies, lateral raises, v-ups, bicycle crunches, and twisting planks.

Thursday: Thursday’s exercises include jogging, running, dumbbell bench presses, dumbbell incline bench presses, bar dips, HIIT training, triceps extensions, bosu ball knee tucks, and forearm planks.

Friday: For Friday, Beckinsale performs rope jumping, forward lunges with dumbbell bicep curls, squat thrusts, v-ups, bicycle crunches, and twisting planks.

Kate Beckinsale’s Natural Weight Loss and Portion-Controlled Diet

Trainer Ramona Braganza also designed Kate Beckinsale’s portion-controlled diet plan that includes a perfect balance of complex carbs and high-protein foods.

The diet will allow for three small meals, two snacks, and lots of water daily. The small meals suppress appetite and are high in protein and fiber.

Beckinsale also consumes lots of whole and organic foods, which include green and leafy vegetables, fruits, and lean protein. Beckinsale avoids dairy, sugar, and high-carb foods.

What is Kate Beckinsale’s daily diet plan? For breakfast, it may include hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, or an omelet with onion and tomato.

Her snacks include popcorn, walnuts, kale chips, hummus, and nectarines with yogurt. For lunch, Beckinsale enjoys veggie wraps, chicken, mixed vegetable soup, and steamed brown rice.

Dinner will be pretty simple and includes mostly grilled fish, chicken, turkey, or beans. It is no wonder Beckinsale has a youthful look at 43, and she looks better than ever for Underworld 5.
