Kate Hudson invited many celebrity guests to the annual Halloween party she held at her Brentwood, California residence.
The actress Instagrammed a celebration pic with her pal Katy Perry, who dressed up as Hilary Clinton. Hudson was dressed up in a wild-west themed outfit and looked stunning. Also at the party was Kendall Jenner, who dressed up as a goth girl.
Her fans definitely want to know the workout secrets behind the Deepwater Horizon star’s fit, wild-west body.
Kate Hudson’s Workout
Hudson works out three to four times a day. As she doesn’t have a lot of time, she believes in effective workouts. She insists on doing exercises that target the whole body, like aerobic fitness—this includes cardio exercises, strengthening exercises, weighted exercises, and muscle toning.
She also occasionally goes to an Spin class for an intense 45- to 60-minute cardio workout, and on other days she’ll head to a dance studio to do two to three hours of advanced jazz-modern, which is a combination of cardio, strengthening, and toning.
Twice a week, Hudson will do:
30 minutes of butt and core work
30 minutes of dance cardio
10 minutes of arm exercises
20 to 30 minutes of triceps push-ups and wide arm push-ups on the knees
Hudson also does Pilates with her trainer, Nicole Stuart. She has been training with Stuart for 15 years. Stuart says that Pilates are a great workout for your entire body—front, sides, back, and core. Before starting with Pilates, Hudson does some cardio like running. On off days, she does yoga or spin class.
Kate Hudson’s Diet
In her book Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body, Hudson says that she follows an alkaline diet. The alkaline diet includes foods like tofu, nuts, and most fruits and vegetables, and 60% to 80% of her calories come from such sources. She has also limited her meat consumption as it has a high acidic effect on the body.
She avoids dairy and high gluten foods, and has also limited her sugar intake.
While breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, Hudson told Self, “I’m not one of those people who wakes up hungry. I realize that when I do [have breakfast], I eat less during the day or late at night.”
She has coffee and a green juice after she wakes up. Her post workout drink includes a protein shake, and her lunch and snacks include salads.
Hudson mostly has a plant based diet and says in the March 2016 issue of Self, “I don’t remember the last time I had a steak.” But this doesn’t mean that she eats healthy all the time. “If I want to go out and eat at a restaurant with amazing food, I’ll do that, like, once a week where I’m not thinking about it,” she says. “I want to indulge! I want to do things that are not healthy sometimes.”
She prefers having five small meals per a rather than three large ones. She loves diet delivery services that help her eat clean for a week and be super healthy.
