Leave it to Lady Gaga to come up with something called the Dive Bar Tour to promote her new album Joanne, which comes out on Oct. 21. The entire concept is unique and so very much in the singer’s style. The album is named after her father’s sister, who died of lupus at a young age.
#MillionReasons is already trending on Twitter. It is the second song from the new album and will be debuted Oct. 5 at the first stop of her three-date dive bar tour, which she is doing with the support of Bud Light. Fans on Twitter are calling it her next big anthem that will likely touch many people’s lives.
The location of her first dive bar appearance is currently undisclosed. Gaga will sing the new song and the album’s first single “Perfect Illusion,” and the performance will be streamed live on Bud Light’s Facebook page, but the time has yet to be announced. The same goes for both the Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 bar shows. Contest winners will make up the bar audiences.
In a media statement announcing the tour, Gaga said that she loves working in intimate settings like a bar because she gets to look her fans in the eyes when she is singing and it gives her a more natural experience – as opposed to having huge gaps between her and her fans.
The album crosses over country, funk, and pop, Gaga says, and has its roots in her early days and the music that lit up her heart when she first started writing music and singing in small venues. “My first performances were in dive bars in New York City and around the country, so working with Bud Light to go back to my roots to perform songs from my new album Joanne is such an exciting way to connect with my fans and share this music with them for the first time,” she said in the release.
How Lady Gaga Lost Weight for Her Upcoming Album Release
Dancing and dance workouts were great for helping Lady Gaga to stay in shape, but she also followed a low glycemic diet in the past few months, which along with exercise, has helped her slim down quite considerably.
Her choreographer Laurieann Gibson, who is the creative genius behind the singer’s dance moves, says the star can thank core-training dance sessions for her amazing body. Gibson has been working with Lady Gaga since the star’s beginnings as a pop singer; she is one of the leading choreographers in the business. She says Gaga puts in a lot of ideas, but it is she who creates the actual choreography.
In their routine, which is very athletic and cardio heavy, they incorporate ballet, modern dance, and jazz, and it can get very technical. It’s high-energy, and it is the intensity that really sculpts Lady Gaga’s body, she says. That’s how she gets those killer abs, nice butt, and strong legs!
Lady Gaga can also thank yoga practice for her yoga-toned body. The practice helps the star feel centered and clears her head, which she will need once she launches the new album.
