Pop-star and singer, Lady Gaga, recently shared an inspiring message on womanhood. The message seems to come straight from her heart and is a great lifestyle tip for women.
The celebrity singer took to Instagram and posted this pic captioning it, “Health, happiness, love—these are the things that are at the heart of a great lady, I think. That’s the kind of lady I want to be.”
She looks stunning in the photo and her message on health, happiness, and love—being at the heart of a great woman—seems to be her life philosophy. She told Harper’s Bazaar, “Being a lady today means being a fighter. It means being a survivor. It means letting yourself be vulnerable and acknowledging your shame or that you’re sad or you’re angry. It takes great strength to do that.”
Holiday season is a perfect time to try out some new scrumptious recipes, and this Instagram post by Gaga comes at the right time. She posts, “The best book you could buy this holiday season… my dad’s! Pre-order the Joanne Trattoria Cookbook. Delicious food and great memories, from our family to yours.”
The post talks of the cookbook written by Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta, owner of the Italian restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, in New York City. The cookbook titled, Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes from an Italian American Restaurant, is scheduled to be released on November 22, 2016, by Post Hill Press.
The singer has an enviable figure and it’s a no-brainer that she follows a healthy lifestyle centered around a healthy diet and workout. How does Gaga maintain a healthy lifestyle? Keep reading to find out her diet and workout.
Lady Gaga Workout Routine
Gaga follows a consistent workout routine which she does not miss out on, even while on tour. While touring, she works out for nearly 25 minutes, five times a week. She follows a fitness regime that is created by her trainer, Harley Pasternak.
She puts in a lot of hard work to maintain her toned, trim, and tight abs. She includes basic crunches, reverse crunches, and double crunches in her ab routine. On her workout routine, Pasternak says, “Lady Gaga has always been active, but about a year ago, she decided she wanted to have the best abs, legs and arms ever, so she stepped up her workouts.”
The award-winning singer practices yoga at local studios. She prefers hot yoga and Bikram yoga. She says, “Yoga makes me feel like I can do anything.” She feels inspired by her NYC-based teacher, Tricia Donegan, and adds, ” … yoga heals me and so do you.”
Gaga also includes dancing, rope skipping, exercises on a Harley bar, lunges, and twists in her workout routine. She likes to stay super fit for her stage performances.
Lady Gaga Diet
Gaga compliments her workout with a healthy diet. She follows Pasternak’s 5 Factor Diet which suggests her to eat five times a day including two meals and three snacks. The diet consists of foods falling into five categories: low-glycemic carbs, lean protein, fiber, healthy fats, and a sugar-free beverage.
The singer prefers including plenty of vegetables in her meals, and says, “I’m on a very strict healthy pop star diet. I don’t eat bread, just vegetables, salad and fish.” The 5 Factor diet allows her to have a cheat day once a week. On her cheat days, she likes to indulge in her beloved foods like tofu, salsa with grain chips, turkey slices, hummus, and coconut water.
This holiday season there is a lot to look out for. Try recipes from Joe Germanotta’s, and focus on a healthy lifestyle, just like his daughter, Lada Gaga.
