For Jennifer Lopez, or J. Lo, age is only a number. Her age may be 47, but that hasn’t stopped the A-list Latin singer and actress from showing off her incredible body and toned abs on a recent cover of Your Fitness magazine.

J. Lo revealed that she loves to exercise despite her busy schedule. Although Lopez breaks a sweat at the gym, she says that her overall healthy lifestyle is the key to her health and amazing body as she nears 50.
The former American Idol judge keeps her body well hydrated and rested after a workout and fuels her body with healthy foods and a protein-rich diet. She also makes it a priority to get eight hours of sleep each night.
On top of her busy life as an actress, singer and mom, Jennifer Lopez is also a little bit of a fitness guru. Lopez recently became the face of lifestyle brand BodyLab and also launched a website with the company that provides recipes, fitness products, and workouts for women.
Lopez has two children, twins Maximilian and Emme, 8, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and the pair is still on good terms. She recently called it quits with boyfriend and dancer Casper Smart.
Reports indicate that Jennifer Lopez’s team wants her to rekindle a relationship with ex-fiancé and Justice League star Ben Affleck, who announced his split with wife Jennifer Garner well over a year ago. With J Lo’s healthy lifestyle, diet, and workout routine, it is easy to see why Ben Affleck might want to come back to her.
What Does J. Lo Eat to Get Her Great Shape?
Jennifer Lopez has a very healthy diet that contains lots of protein. Lopez starts her day with a BodyLab TastyShake with protein for breakfast. After a healthy lunch, she also drinks a protein shake with dinner to help kill cravings after her meal.
In the past, she has also consumed a vegan diet. As part of her 22-day vegan plan, she reportedly ate millet with almond milk, bananas, and blueberries. Other J. Lo vegan meals included a kale salad with red peppers, and zucchini noddle pasta with vegan cheese and tomatoes. J. Lo also doesn’t smoke cigarettes or consume caffeine or alcohol.
J. Lo’s trainer Tracy Anderson also reveals that Lopez has a very clean diet that is all organic, with a balance between nutrient-dense food and high-quality protein. Basically, everything is fresh and nothing is processed – except for her protein powder.
Lopez sometimes eats foods she loves in moderation, like cake or fried chicken, but it is not a regular thing. Fruits and vegetables are her go-to snacks.
What is Jennifer Lopez’s Workout Routine?
As a dancer, it is also important for Jennifer Lopez to be in shape. She admitted on The View earlier this year that when her weight fluctuates she can feel it due to her dance background. J. Lo works out with Tracy Anderson in Los Angeles.
The program includes 13 different exercises that change every 10 days. It also includes dance aerobics and an hour-long workout along with a 30-minute glutes exercise. When in New York, J. Lo’s trainer is David Kirsch. The pair will do exercises such as boxing, planks, and pushups.
At 47, Jennifer Lopez makes her health and being a mom her top priorities. Her positive outlook on life is also what keeps Lopez focused, fit, and happy.
