National Coffee Day 2016: Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Dairy Queen Offer Special Deals

National Coffee Day

Who doesn’t love a good cup of Joe? Coffee is arguably one of the greatest gifts to humans. It can connect one to the senses and help one get a move on the day.

It’s National Coffee Day on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, and there are some special deals being offered by leaders in the caffeinated world – Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Dairy Queen. Here is the scoop on how coffee lovers can enjoy some java at no charge.

National Coffee Day: Where to Find Deals

Some confirmed offers for free coffee on National Coffee Day include:

Caribou Coffee: When you purchase a cup of Amy’s Blend, Minnesota-based Caribou Coffee will donate a cup of coffee to caregivers at support centers and hospitals throughout the country. This isn’t necessarily getting a free coffee, but you are giving back to others in a small way.

Cumberland Farms: At Cumberland Farms, you can get a free Farmhouse Blend or Bold coffee, hot or iced, in any size when you use a mobile coupon. Text the word FREECOFFEE to 33733 or 64827 to receive coupon.

Dairy Queen: You can get a small iced coffee for $1, an Ultimate Frappe for $2 or a Premium Fruit Smoothie for $2 anytime between 2 and 5 p.m. (which is considered “Happy Hour”). The offer applies from Monday-Friday. There is no coupon required but the deal is at participating locations only – check in with your local Dairy Queen.

Dunkin Donuts: Dunkin’ Donuts has been kickin’ for 66 years now and will be celebrating their anniversary with a special coffee offer. On National Coffee Day, Dunkin Donuts is offering guests a medium cup of their signature hot coffee for just 66 cents.

And in honor of the New England Patriots, Dunkin Donuts perks customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, and Essex and Clinton counties in New York can enjoy a medium hot or iced coffee for 87 cents the day after a win during the regular season. (This perk is not just on National Coffee Day)

Starbucks: For every cup of Mexico Chiapas coffee sold on National Coffee Day, participating U.S. Starbucks locations will donate a coffee tree to a Latin American farmer in need. When you load $10 to your account in the Starbucks App and pay using Visa Checkout, you’ll receive a $10 e-gift card in return. Not technically a coffee deal, but a great bonus if you are a loyal Starbucks customer. This offer expires Friday, Sept. 30.
