The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, who has a new book out called Turning the Tables, flaunted her yoga-toned figure next to her 12-year-old daughter Gabriella in early September.
Also with Giudice for what looked like a beach day were her younger daughters, Milania, 11, and Audriana, 7.
The former Celebrity Apprentice contestant posted a pic of her youngest Audriana enjoying French fries and captioned the pic with “Her smile says it all.”
Giudice has a regular fitness routine and often works out with her sister-in law Melissa Gorga, who is also on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
So how does one get in Real Housewives shape? For starters, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga have interesting thoughts on dieting: don’t do it. Gorga says she doesn’t diet and simply doesn’t believe in it, but her secret is to have a portion-controlled diet instead. For her, it’s the no-diet diet in that she eats what she wants but watches how much of it goes in her mouth.
Sundays she eats pasta because her family is Italian, she says, and that is what they love to eat for a Sunday family meal. For the rest of the week, though, she does stay away from carbs for the most part. She eats lighter meals because that’s what she enjoys.
Giudice says she doesn’t diet either, but she watches what she eats because she firmly believes you are what you eat. She admits to having eaten what she wanted in her twenties and thirties, but now she eats healthier to simply feel her best.
Working Out Like a Real Housewife
Housewife Melissa Gorga loves gym workouts and weightlifts to get her bikini body. She is more into squats and weights, essentially conditioning training, and emphasizes strength training over cardio workouts, which she says she doesn’t really do.
Lower-body exercises are important to her to tone her butt and thighs, so Gorga makes sure to do a lot of squats and lunges to bulk and lift her backside. She also takes spinning classes at SoulCycle whenever she has the time.
Giudice, on the other hand, says that she should start doing more squats because she knows squats are good for the body. Working out became important to her when she was in prison and had to find ways to pass the time. She says the workouts she did there helped get her in the best shape of her life. She is currently a size two.
While serving time for fraud, Giudice worked out an impressive three times a day. She’d start the day with yoga offered twice every morning in the prison’s TV room. Giudice wasn’t a fan of yoga before then, but now she says that yoga changed her life. She goes so far as to say the calming practice got her through her ordeal. Now she can’t live without it. She has plans to release her own yoga DVD and clothing collection sometime in the New Year.
Giudice’s husband Joe is currently serving his 36-month sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution. The Italian-American couple was sentenced in October 2014 for bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.
